NT Come Follow Me 48

NT Come Follow Me Lesson 48 Introduction: “Rejoice with Joy Unspeakable and Full of Glory” Doctrine and Covenants 76:80  Promptly record spiritual impressions, while you are yet in the Spirit. John 21:18–19  Jesus told Peter, soon after He was resurrected, that Peter would be a martyr for Jesus Christ and His gospel. 2 Peter 1:14  Later Peter witnessed also that this would be so. 14  Knowing that shortly I must put off  this  my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me. 1 Peter 1:6–7, 9  Peter didn’t fear His death, and He taught us to “greatly rejoice,” even though they were “in heaviness through manifold temptations” and to remember that “the trial of [our] faith” [will} lead to “praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ” and to “the salvation of [our] souls.” 1 Peter 4:13  Am I a willing partaker “ of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, [I] may be g...

The testimony of this event is bringing many people back to Jesus Christ. James 1:21–22 As you learn and value truth, set aside those things that turn you away from truth. Be a do...
