NT Come Follow Me 26

NT Come Follow Me Lesson 26 Introduction: I’m going to read the scripture chapters first this week. “It Is Finished” Jesus is Pure Love. This is Charity. 1 Corinthians 13:5 Jesus wasn’t easily provoked. Because of His love for us, He was quiet, humble and submissive to the Father’s will. 1 Corinthians 13:4, 7 He has born all things for me and He suffers long for me; He is still patient and kind to me. His love for His mother and those who were suffering because of His death is remarkable. And He forgave those who put Him to death. He bore all things for all of us. He taught us through His own example. Moroni 7:47 Charity is the Pure Love of Christ. Personal Study: Jesus Christ’s willingness to suffer shows His love for the Father and for all of us. 1 Nephi 19:9 Jesus allowed the mocking and the torment and agony, because of His longsuffering and His great love for all people. “ 9  And the world, because of their iniquity, shall judge h...

NT Come Follow Me 25

NT Come Follow Me Lesson 25 Introduction: I’m going to read the scripture chapters first this week. “Not My Will, but Thine, Be Done” I don't know if we witnessed this event from heaven, or if like His apostles we couldn't for sorrow. But Heavenly Father always knows and always sees what we are going through. I am so thankful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ and for the reassurances of His love, and our Father's love, for me born through the Spirit. Personal Study: Conversion is an ongoing process. Luke 22:32 When you are converted, strengthen your brothers and sisters. What is the difference between have a testimony and being converted? Converted unto the Lord Luke 22:33 Have you ever felt strong enough to do anything you could for the Lord, even die for Him? Why are our feelings inconsistent and sometimes our commitment stronger than other times? How can you work to strengthen others? How does ministering strengthen your own testimony and conversi...

John 15:10 Then and now, if we keep His commandments, we will abide in His love, and He will abide with us. Personal Study: I show my love for Jesus Christ by keeping His commandments. How does keeping Jesus’s commandments equate with love? How has the Savior’s love influenced you? How has your love for others influenced them? John 13:34–35 This new commandment is the higher law of Love. Our discipleship is shown in the love that we have for one another. Personal Study: The Holy Ghost helps me fulfill my purpose as a disciple of Jesus Christ. How is our Father’s and our Savior’s love manifested to us through the Holy Ghost? Why do we need the Holy Ghost in our everyday lives? What can ...
