NT Come Follow Me 53
Introduction:
Revelation 1:8 Jesus is the beginning and the end. Revelation 22:13
Revelation 13:8
He is the Lamb that was chosen to save us all.
Every good thing that we will inherit is because of Him. He is vital to our
existence and progression.
Revelation 21:1
As King of Kings, He will usher in a new heaven and a new earth.
There is still much for us to accomplish before Jesus returns to earth to rule
and reign. But He has not left us to do these tasks alone. He is ever with us
as we chose to be with Him.
Revelation 22:16 He is our bright and morning star, the Light of the World. As we look to Him, we will live.
Matthew 11:28 He invites us to come unto Him, and we know that He will return to the earth “soon.”
Revelation 22:20
“Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”
Family Study: Songs
of Praise
Revelation 15:2–4 We will sing the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb. It seems that we will learn from the praises of those past, and that we will also learn a new song.
Exodus 15:1–19
The Song of Moses:
vs 2 “The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my
God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt
him.”
The Lord saved Israel from the Egyptians. They were drowned in the depths of
the sea.
vs 11 “Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious
in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?”
Vs 13 “Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed:
thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.”
God will again spare and save His people in these last days.
16 Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they
shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O Lord, till the
people pass over, which thou hast purchased.
17 Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine
inheritance, in the place, O Lord, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in,
in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established.
18 The Lord shall reign for ever and ever.
Doctrine and Covenants 84:98–102 “Sing this new song”:
98 Until all shall know me, who remain, even from the least unto the greatest, and shall be filled with the knowledge of the Lord, and shall see eye to eye, and shall lift up their voice, and with the voice together sing this new song, saying:
99 The Lord hath brought again Zion;
The Lord hath redeemed his people, Israel,
According to the election of grace,
Which was brought to pass by the faith
And covenant of their fathers.
100 The Lord hath redeemed his people;
And Satan is bound and time is no longer.
The Lord hath gathered all things in one.
The Lord hath brought down Zion from above.
The Lord hath brought up Zion from beneath.
101 The earth hath travailed and brought forth her strength;
And truth is established in her bowels;
And the heavens have smiled upon her;
And she is clothed with the glory of her God;
For he stands in the midst of his people.
102 Glory, and honor, and power, and might,
Be ascribed to our God; for he is full of mercy,
Justice, grace and truth, and peace,
Forever and ever, Amen.
Revelation 15:2 After those who have gotten the victory over the beast and are accepted into the presence of the Lord, surely they will want to sing this new song. Strive to learn it now in preparation and to give you hope.
Memorize Doctrine and Covenants 84:98-102.

Vs
9 “Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.”
Marriage
is a good comparison of the covenant relationship the Lord has with His church.
Matthew 22:1–14 Only those invited can attend. When those who have been invited choose other things over the Lord, others will be invited in their stead. We must be prepared and dressed for the wedding.
Family Study: Satan
will be bound
Revelation 20:2–3 Satan will be bound for a thousand years, because of the righteousness of the people. He will be loosed again for a very short itme.
1 Nephi 22:26 It will be because of the righteousness of the people that Satan will have no power. The people will dwell in righteousness and the Holy One will reign.
Personal Study: All of God’s children will be judged out of
the book of life.
Revelation 20:12–15; 21:1–4 You will be judged by the things written in the books. How are you doing? Do you like what is being recorded about you? How can you make sure the best things are recorded?
Revelation 21:27 Will you be recorded well in the Lamb’s book of life?
Revelation 21:1–4:
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first
earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Be thankful for this wonderful time to look forward to!
O How Great the Plan of Our God!: Elder Uchtdorf: “That Day of Judgment will be a day of mercy and love—a day when broken hearts are healed, when tears of grief are replaced with tears of gratitude, when all will be made right. Yes, there will be deep sorrow because of sin. Yes, there will be regrets and even anguish because of our mistakes, our foolishness, and our stubbornness that caused us to miss opportunities for a much greater future.
“But I have confidence that we will not only be satisfied with the judgment of God; we will also be astonished and overwhelmed by His infinite grace, mercy, generosity, and love for us, His children.”
Book of life
“In one sense the book of life is the sum total of one’s thoughts and
actions—the record of his life. However, the scriptures indicate that a
heavenly record is kept of the faithful, whose names are recorded, as well as
an account of their righteous deeds.”

fell: and great Babylon came in
remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness
of his wrath.
20 And
every island fled away, and the mountains were
not found.
21 And
there fell upon men a great hail out
of heaven, every stone about
